2012 WJHC: A second one game scouting report for Jarred Tinordi

Tinordi earns his best rating

Jarred Tinordi was recently signed to an NHL contract by the Montreal Canadiens. The 6'7", 215 lbs defenseman was drafted in the first round of the 2010 NHL Entry draft. This report is from Team USA's 4-1 loss to Finland on December 28th.

OVERALL GRADE

 Tinordi had an above average grade despite his team's tough loss. He grade was equally impressive in that it was above average without any offensive-output.

 Tinordi's best work was done in the defensive-zone, as well as on the penalty-kill. He also produced a surprisingly high offensive-zone rating for the second straight game. He was defnitely puck-hungry, as he was involved in 4.85 plays per-minute of ice-time. He had an overall risk/reward rating of 2.51, which is comparable what top-2 defensemen put up in the NHL.
