DEFENSIVE-ZONE

Where Desharnais ranks number 1 among fellow centremen:
  • Intercepted/blocked opposition passes per-minute

Where Desharnais ranks low (4th or 5th) among fellow centremen:
  • Defensive-zone risk/reward rating
  • Defensive-zone ratio
  • Loose-puck recoveries per-minute
  • Puck-battle winning percentage
  • Defensive-zone events per-minute

  • Defensive-zone puck-possession plays per-minute
  • Attempted d-zone passes per-minute
  • Successful d-zone passes per-minute
  • Attempted dump-outs per-minute
  • Successful dump-outs per-minute
  • Dump-out success-rate
It's important to note that low totals in total defensive-events, d-zone puck-possession plays per-minute, attempted d-zone passes/dump outs, and successful d-zone passes/dump outs could be seen as a positive stat, as they may reflect the fact that Desharnais spent less time in the defensive-zone than other Montreal centremen.
